Life at Open Circle

Welcome to Open Circle Church website. Open Circle is a theologically liberal, glbt friendly Christian community located in the south metro of the Twin Cities.

Vision: Open Circle is motivated by the life and vision of Jesus: to create a community without walls where everyone is welcome, to bring good news to the hurting of the world, to work for peace and justice, to celebrate the divine in each of us, and to learn to live each day in the joyful, living presence of Love.

Journey: We are a people who experience doubt and questioning as a positive part of the journey of faith. We are more interested in the willingness to question and learn and listen to a variety of perspectives than we are in a person's adherent to particular doctrines. We invite "bored Christians and curious pagans" and people of other faith perspectives to journey with us in our faith community.

Community: We live in a fragmented world. We have many roles, many contacts, and busy schedules, with too little time for putting down roots. Yet we often long to be part of a real community where we can be known and loved for who we are. At Open Circle we strive to meet that community need. We offer a number of small group opportunities and classes. We also invite our people to be involved, to try things, to share their gifts.
